The Concept

Cafecito is a coffee shop located in Teziutlán, Puebla, created with the idea of offering a cozy space for students and young people attending the nearby university. While the town has a strong sense of tradition, the goal was to design a brand that preserves its local essence while introducing a fresh, contemporary touch.

The Result

The Cafecito logo reached its final form after a careful study of local traditions and cultural symbolism. The design merges the icon of coffee with elements inspired by “La Danza de los Santiagos,” a traditional dance that remains deeply rooted in Teziutlán’s cultural identity.

This fusion not only honors the community’s heritage but also gives the brand a distinctive local character, connecting past and present through design. The resulting identity captures the warmth of everyday coffee moments while celebrating the vibrant spirit and devotion that define the town’s traditions.

Color selection

The color palette for Cafecito was inspired by the earthy tones and natural warmth of Teziutlán’s culture and landscape. Each hue was carefully selected to evoke comfort, tradition, and authenticity while keeping a modern and youthful balance. Barro serves as the primary color, symbolizing the warmth of clay and handcrafted pottery, a direct reference to local craftsmanship and the grounded essence of coffee. Jungla represents the vegetation surrounding the region and Papaya adds a touch of vitality and friendliness, softening the traditional palette with a modern, energetic accent.

Together, these colors create a harmonious blend of tradition and freshness, embodying the idea of a coffee space that feels both authentic and contemporary.
