Introduction

Ectagono is all about sustainability, innovation, and social impact—but until now, there wasn’t a website to bring everything together in one place. With more people wanting to stay updated on events, read blog articles, and connect with the team, it became clear that a digital platform was a must.
This website is designed to make things simple and accessible. Whether it’s checking out upcoming events, exploring fresh content, or getting in touch with Ectagono, everything will now be just a click away. The goal is to strengthen connections, reach more people, and make it easier for the community to get involved.

Problematic

Ectagono faced significant digital limitations, making it difficult to manage its community and effectively share its projects.

  • Lack of a website: There was no centralized platform to showcase their mission, events, and programs.

  • No user or volunteer registration system: Without a structured database, organizing and tracking interested participants was challenging.

  • Reliance on social media: The only source of project information was social media, limiting reach, permanence, and accessibility.

This lack of digital infrastructure hindered communication, community management, and overall impact. Developing a well-structured website was essential to improve organization, visibility, and engagement with volunteers.

My Role

Group 37.png

As part of this project, my role focused on the entire visual aspect of the website and Ectagono’s overall branding. I was responsible for designing a cohesive and engaging visual identity that aligned with the organization’s mission and values. This included creating the website’s user interface, ensuring an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing experience, and developing graphic elements that enhanced the brand’s presence. Through a thoughtful design approach, the goal was to create a digital platform that not only communicated Ectagono’s essence but also facilitated user interaction and engagement.

Objective

To develop a visually cohesive and user-friendly website that centralizes Ectagono’s events, blog, and initiatives, enhancing accessibility, community engagement, and brand recognition while providing a seamless digital experience.

Solution

The solution was to design and develop a visually cohesive, user-friendly website that centralizes all of Ectagono’s activities, including events, blog content, and community initiatives. The platform provides an intuitive navigation experience, ensuring easy access to information while reinforcing the brand’s identity through consistent and engaging visuals.

Design Thinking

We applied the Design Thinking methodology to ensure a user-centered and solution-oriented approach in developing Ectágono’s website. First, we empathized with users through research to identify key pain points, such as the lack of centralized information and accessibility issues. Then, we defined the core problem: the need for a visually cohesive and functional platform to enhance engagement and communication. During the ideation phase, we explored design concepts aligned with Ectágono’s identity, ensuring an intuitive user experience. We then created prototypes to test different layouts and navigation flows, gathering feedback to iterate and refine the website for optimal usability and aesthetics.
